Fowey Hall

Fowey Hall is luxury hotel within a Grade II late 19th century house on an east facing hillside above Fowey in Cornwall. The grounds were tired and had received little investment for decades. We developed a site-wide masterplan and design details for a new dining terrace, an outdoor swimming pool which was set low to allow views of the building previously blocked by mounding, substantial new parking provision, creation of a third tier to compliment the historic grass terraces, a bespoke outdoor raised restaurant terrace, children’s play area, a deck for the Spa and substantial new planting throughout the grounds. The historic garden contained many listed built elements, protected trees and well-established shrub borders which have been retained. This is a place for hotel guests, visitors and staff to sit, relax, play, eat, drink, wander and enjoy the panoramic views throughout the year. It is loved by everyone who stays and visits.
