The garden was tired with no flat lawn area or areas to sit and eat outdoors. The clients were keen to have spaces to relax and entertain surrounded by plants. The garden is private, contains may beautiful mature trees and plants and not overlooked, so the design focused upon developing spaces which were highly functional, easily accessible and which provided beautiful views and vistas both outside and from the house. We developed a larger flat lawn and a series of outdoor terraces working with the changing levels. Hard materials are restricted to granite and render to work with the locality and the house materials palette. Planting provides year-round interest, especially in summer when the garden is most used.
